Onboard Fall 2022 Freshman

Moving Past COVID

My mind is busy thinking about Fall 2021. My thoughts are centered around the incoming freshman. This cohort is coming from high schools that used virtual and/or hybrid learning structures. There are many studies showing the pandemic has impacted students educationally, socially, and emotionally. I have many questions about how I can prepare for these students. In my search for answers, I plan to perform a gap analysis between 2021 college-bound seniors and my previous expectations of freshmen. Next, I will research how I can prepare for these freshmen. My ultimate goal is to create onboarding experiences to help Fall 2021 freshmen successfully transition from a pandemic to college. I will share my findings.
