The report of the New Commission on the Skills of the American Workforce placed a high value on innovation and creativity skills for every American worker and viewed it as a matter of national importance (National Center on Education and the Economy, 2007). This presentation is given to freshmen in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Freshman Experience course. It explains innovation and explores tools used to create new ideas.
